Job description

Education requirements
- At least an Associate's degree in any field
Experience requirements
- Must have at least 2 years working as an Administrator in a licensed childcare center.
Qualifications
- Must be experienced working in a Licensed Childcare Center
- Well Organized
- Good Time Management
Responsibilities
- Create logs in ProCare for EVERYTHING
- Scan documents into ProCare
- Assist ODJFS licensing Specialist when needed
- Conduct staff evaluations and document findings
- Conduct classroom observations and document findings
- Conduct weekly mock inspections
- Complete and up to date
- Issue reprimands when needed
- Conduct daily safety checks
- Train and mentor staff to be successful in their position
- Sign staff up for training
- Prepare center for SUTQ and Maintain all SUTQ requirements
- Monitor staff record-keeping
- Ensure staff files are complete and up to date
- Recruit, Interview, and Hire Staff
- Issue mandatory overtime when needed
- Monitor staff attendance and time cards
- Keep the center in compliance at all times
- Conduct hourly walkthroughs of the center
- Host hiring events
- Respond to inspection reports
- Organize staff files and employee records chart binder (Keep up with all forms)
- Be a conflict resolution and problem-solving specialist
- Create a positive work environment while setting a positive example
- Monitor staff to ensure that they are following company standard and meeting expectations
- Host monthly staff meetings
- Send staff home when ratios are low
- Monitor staff cleaning regularly
- Register employees in ProCare to clock in/out
- Correct time clock issues and document in ProCare
- Be available to problem solve during all operational hours normally (M-F 6 am – 12 am, Saturday and Sunday 6 am - 8 pm. This can change in the future) May require you to come back to the center after your day has ended or on your off day
- Must call and check on the center at least twice (M-F) on 2nd shift and handle any situation brought to your attention at the time of the call. Must call to check on the center at least 4 times (Sat & Sun) and handle any situation brought to your attention at the time of the call
- Must find additional sources of funding to bring in additional income for the center (fundraisers)
- Step into the classroom and work with staff as a teaching moment at least 3 times a week
- Must step into the classroom and assist with maintaining ratios when needed
- Make responsibility for the daily operation of the center
- Monitor staff to ensure that they are following the curriculum and following their lesson plans
- Help teachers create lesson plans
- Plan a structured field trip for all toddlers, preschool and school-age children
- Obtain Routine Trip Forms and Field Trip Forms as needed
